Prologue

The far northern kingdom of Novah is suffering. Their beloved king and queen have been murdered by the ruler of the rivaling kingdom, Kolgrym. The people of Novah are left with the eighteen year old princess, Jade.

Jade, who is now queen, struggles with the sudden responsibility of a whole kingdom, and the distrust she knows everyone feels. And what makes things even worse, the rivaling kingdom is so close to invading.

When they do, Jade has no choice, but to stay in the castle with the king, Kian, who threatens to make the people slaves in his own kingdom. But as time passes, both Jade and Kian begin struggling to accept the connection in between them...
