Misunderstandings

If someone told Cecille she would discover a portal to a foreign land that day, she would've said they were not in their right mind.

If someone told Cecille she would be found in the middle of the desert by a shirtless man in a jackal headpiece, she would've said they were most definitely insane.

If someone then proceeded to continue and tell her that she was going to be taken in custody for plotting with a band of 'eremites', she would've laughed in their face.
