The Calm Before

This story offers a look into the day before the events of "Too Late," before Kion's devastating death on the journey to the Tree of Life. The Lion Guard finds themselves caught in a storm in the mountains and finds relief and shelter with a kind old macaque. As the rest of the Guard plays out in the rain, Fuli and Kion enjoy a blissful moment together, not realizing it is one of their last. Only when the old macaque warns Fuli of the true severity of Kion's scar does she realize she may not have much time left with her best friend.
