Ruth Melgren has been trained her whole life to attend Basgiath War College. But when your father is the General who executed the rebels of the Tyrrish Rebellion, leaving their revenge-thirsty children behind, there's not much you can do when a quarter of the school is after your head.
Ruth has to live up to her father's expectations as well as everyone else's, while trying to not be killed in her sleep and stay alive during on-mat challenges, the gauntlet and Threshing.
