Prologue

Matilda Jocelyn Mikaelson, the adopted daughter of Kol Mikaelson.

When she was born, her mother abandoned her after realising she was a siphoner. Kol found her in a back alley after feeding, making him take her in when he realised she had magic.

At the age of 18, Matilda was turned after she was killed with her Aunt's blood in her system. Waking up, she realised she could still do magic as she had become a heretic. Kol helped her learn how to control her blood lust as well as hone her magic more.

After Kol was daggered by his brothers, Matilda was looked after by her Uncles and Aunt. When they fled New Orleans, Matilda was told that they had died by Marcel. What happens when they return and she discovers her Father was killed?
