Midnight swim

A young wizard is chosen to stop the god of chaos according to an ancient prophecy but he has to give up his powers in the process according to the prophecy. Karsus refuses to come to terms with his destiny, risking putting his lover, friends, and allies and even the whole world in danger. So karsus decides to take another path to fulfilling his destiny, one where he doesn't lose his powers but at a price that costs him even more dearly.
