In a bleak future, a prisoner called Opal Dawson awaits her impending execution with an unexpected sense of relief. As she's led out of her cell, she notices something unusual happening to her fellow inmates. What follows is a surprising twist as she finds herself on a space ship with a familiar face and a mission that defies her expectations. The story explores themes of survival, friendship, the desire to reclaim freedom on a new, unfamiliar Earth and most of all the small butterflies that start to form when she meats a certain John Murphy
