Description
Avery moves from New York to Florida. She leaves everything; her family, her friends, and her hometown. Avery is miserable when she arrives in Florida. She feels like she has nothing. Everything changes when she meets this boy, Alan, at her new school... Alan and Avery fall in love. Alan also introduces Avery to marijuana. After Avery's first high, she feels the best she has ever felt in years. Avery sneaks out with Alan and smokes weed with him one night. However, they get caught by police, get arrested, and get sent to a juvenile secure facility. The two of them are separated. Avery then meets and falls in love with Ashley, an inmate at the juvenile detention center. Avery's experience at juvie tears her apart, and as a result, she has a change of heart...
