Prologue: Excerpt from The Renegade by Darren Roberts

Darren Roberts is an American who is in Japan to promote an upcoming anime show based on a sci-i story he posted online called The Renegade. Mimiko Suzuki is the bassist for a popular all-female Japanese rock group called Fates Sisters. Darren and Mimiko met when they appeared together on a Japanese morning show and they began having a passionate fling. But could their fling turn into love in spite of their cultural differences?
