Chapter One

"So let me get this straight," the dark lord said. "All of us are living in a story, you're the main character, that idiot in the other room is the author, and I'm the villain?"

"That's what he told me," Main Protagonist replied.

They both sat in silence for a while, each one unsure what to say.

The dark lord broke the silence first. "Are you sure that this author is sane?"

Main Protagonist shook his head. "Absolutely not."
