Chapter 1: Consent

Ashlynn's put herself together after being broken by her mom and ex boyfriend, Jakori. Because of everything she'd gone through, she's become a teacher who tries her best to be a safe space for all of her students.

Due to his upbringing, Cameron doesn't know how to care for his son, Jackson. So he did what he felt was best for him. He left.

Circumstances have brought Ashlynn and Cameron together, and as she helps him work through his issues and his relationship with Jackson, she finds it harder to guard her heart against him. He's everything she could want in a man, but made it clear at the beginning that he wasn't a relationship guy. Plus, she was his son's teacher.
