Prologue

Connor has always prided himself on his sense of composure. He never overreacted and never acted impulsively. He was methodical.

He could handle stress. In his profession, he could not afford to be anything but composed. A patient went rampage? He could handle that. When his Sin acted improperly, he remained calm. When a God wreaked havoc with sacrificial demands, he never broke his demeanour.

However, when he is faced with a half-dead Sin and a compromising dilemma, his mind - and heart - spirals.
