Description
On a hot afternoon of his more than two years long hiatus, Xiao Zhan, an officer in homicide of the crime control department, find himself being jerked up from one of his usual, eerie, hazey dream that can reach him regardless of time to the constant ringing of his phone which lied somewhere on the floor among the pile of wine bottles that he finished just before dozing off a few hours ago. The screen displays a name that his phone directory forgot for almost two years but heart longed continuously. It ringed dead and the screen replaced the name of his ex husband Wang Yibo, a highly skilled medical officer, to that of the picture of their daughter who, as her name remarks, looks like a beautiful lotus when she smiles. On receiving a message much later after the said call being stopped unattended, Xiao Zhan crawled to it making space on the floor among the empty bottles from where he had been lying for God knows how many hours. The message read: "Please call me back when you see this" and Xiao Zhan knew, it would took all his might for Wang Yibo to type a message like this after their so called divorce. His heart clenched in unknown fear as he immediately clicked to call him back. Was Xiao Zhan fearing for nothing? Or would he be late to do something just like before?
