Humans have always been feared and seen as cruel by the entities in the abandoned Hotel. That's why they feel the need to kill any human on sight to prevent any further harm to the hotel or themselves.
Saurian, however, wasn't human, but rather a monstrous humanoid that has been slowly taken in by the entities and has interacted with them like everyday people. But he's starting to notice that something hasn't been right with him lately, and he's scared to figure out what.
