She's depressed, a B+ student, and is not popular. She lives alone since her family died from a car accident. Her neighbor is none other than Peeta Mellark, the popular guy. She has always had feelings for him. Does Peeta like Katniss too? One night Peeta's curtains are open and so as Katniss's. They decide to talk through a whiteboard. When she is about to right something she notices his curtains are closed so she erased what she wrote. Everyday they communicate through whiteboards.
