The aftons needed a break from the crazy twins, the twins are too much like their father. That their father needed a break from them. So they sent the twins to live in woodsboro, california for three years. The night they arrived was the night of Maureen Prescott's death. They saw the killers leave Maureen's house that night,but never told anyone. So the killers thought they were not seen.
