Words of a Bittersweet Soul

Words that are kept unsaid,
They hang on my tongue until it bled
And so, red droplets run through my fingers
Until words flowed like a river.

Here are the words I kept unsaid
Longing to be seen, heard, and read,
By the people who caused my heart to dread,
And in my life, love, and light they shed.

These are the words of my bittersweet soul.
