Anna, a young woman in Texas trying to navigate day to day life. A hairstylist, lover of books and music. Only one problem, she consistently turns to alcohol and cigarettes for comfort.

Darren, an aspiring musician from Chicago on tour. He's shy, kind, and just wants to be able to stand in front of a crowd without hiding.

When the two meet, their lives take a turn. A budding friendship? A budding romance? Or a turbulant love affair?
