She's hunted down trolls, bled out wraiths, slaughtered bloodthirsty spirits, and even beheaded a demon or two at the price of her own soul. She's been the tortured and torturer, the righteous and the wicked. And after two decades of this, she's tired. Just tired. She needs one more contract to rid herself of the deal she'd ignorantly signed as a teenager . . . Only, there's a problem. The last mission she was on had left her with a curse on her heart and a target on her back. Not only must she be careful on deciding her last and final contract while her past races to catch up to her, but somehow, in the middle of hunting down manic, pain-driven monsters, she must also outrun the death god hell-bent on bringing her to justice.
