Description
Diagnosed with a developmental disorder at a young age, Duskelle Waterlee has always been special - but not necessarily in a good way. Even at the age of fourteen, she is still unable to truly grasp human ways of life. Her only relief is River, a stray that resides on her family's property. River is the only one that she can understand, the only one that cares about her, the only friend that Duskelle has. River isn't human. She's a cat. And when River abruptly disappears, Duskelle ventures into the woods for the first time. There, she finds four Clans of cats, with an entire world that is different in ways she never could've imagined. But what's most amazing to her is the fact that she understands. She understands their words. Their ways. Their lives. And when they tentatively accept her, she realizes that she might just belong, with the Clans and the cats and their cultures. But will she ever truly fit into a world that she wasn't born into? --- P̲R̲A̲I̲S̲E̲ "Awesomeness incarnated as a book." "Very unique. Very amazing!" "I genuinely love this. I was skeptical at first to whether you could pull off a Twoleg based story but you did and it's amazing AH" --- C̲R̲E̲D̲I̲T̲S̲ -Erin Hunter(s) [ original WARRIORS concept ] -@annco123 [ editor ] -@dailycatdrawings on Tumblr [ character images ]
