After Kepler steals a golf cart from one of her political adversaries, Tiff finds herself in Canada at the request of the Black Robes Division. She's supposed to hunt down a necromancer at his recently-purchased property an hour and a half from the border. Instead, she ropes local teenager Elton Castle and his dog, Dingus, into looking into a haunted house with her.
