And like that star, my time will eventually come, and I won't be here anymore." He tilted his head as his mother spoke, he did not understand her silly metaphors, he was too young. "You're a star too, Tommy" She playfully tapped his nose with a smile as he giggled, she took it in. The dark circles under her eyes told a story of multiple sleepless nights of wondering when she would go supernova. She would not be there for her boy. "and I know you'll do something great."
