Story One in the Clawdette Miraculous Fanfics Series Sophie Allard has just moved from Newmarket, Ontario, Canada to her father's childhood and her family's ancestral home in Paris, France at fifteen. Her whole world had shifted the year before, and to help her and himself cope, Sophie's father, Louis, had decided to move them both to France, but in doing so he took away Sophie's dreams as well as her family. Sophie has been figure skating since the age of three. As a former Canadian Olympic figure skater, her mother, Charlotte, believed that her only daughter should know the joy of flying in the air and landing back on the ice. That she should feel the thrill of moving to the beat of song and spinning till the breeze gives you a slight chill. And most of all, Charlotte felt that her daughter should feel the sense of accomplishment when she had received a high score or even won a competition. From an early age Sophie had fallen in love with figure skating the same way her mother had, and her dream was to follow in her mother's footsteps and compete for (and hopefully win for) Team Canada at an Olympic Games in the future. But her father's choice to move them to another country had ripped those dreams away. Now, Sophie was heartbroken. Not only had she lost her mother to breast cancer the year before, but now to lose her dream put her already fragile mental health in danger. But Sophie, ever the optimist, planned to fight hard against her demons for her father's sake. He needed her to. Louis needed to leave Canada and leave all the memories of Charlotte that were too painful to witness behind. After starting her first day at Collège Françoise Dupont, Sophie finds a small box sitting on her dresser.
