Description
Perseus falls into Tartarus alone, but this is not your typical dark protagonist story. Rising from the ashes of the pit after a rather interesting conversation, Percy begins to understand the universe. All things positive have Chaos inside of them and all things negative have Void within. Though this does not necessarily mean one is bad, and one is good. One cannot live without the other. Returning from Tartarus, returning to Annabeth. Percy feels fine, he has control of himself. But the voices, the thoughts trying to control his mind, he starts to slip away from what is right and wrong, he struggles to decide on what he thinks is right and wrong. Annabeth watches this as they travel across the world. She regrettably begins to understand what is happening to him, or what she thinks is... After the defeat of Gaea, Annabeth's fear for the universe pushes her to inform the Olympians that the person she cares about most, must be locked up. He must be imprisoned until he can regain control of who he once was. It destroys her, the way he looks at her as she does so. He sees it as betrayal. What happens when he escapes? What happens when she can't stop loving him, and he knows this? In a universe where Percy Jackson is at war with himself, and the outcome of that conflict will decide the fate of the entire universe. What happens when Chaos tries to interfere? Does she know that Void has empowered the son of Poseidon? Percy is at war with himself, but when both sides of him align, an unstoppable force merges with an unmovable object, and the rest of the universe pays the price.
