We were just friends that spoke like lovers. That seemed to be enough for two teenagers who were too scared to love one another.

Derrick and Josie are "Just friends". Josie is a 16 year old girl finding where she belongs in school because it is not with Ava Blake on the cheer squad or maybe she belongs with Jax. The hottest guy in school. She's obsessed over Jax and his perfect life even though her life isn't so perfect. Both her parents died and her sister takes complete care of her and she doesn't know if she's falling for her best friend Derrick or if they are "Just friends."
