Description
In a mysterious world not too different from our own, the lucky, or unlucky few, are born with supernatural gifts called "Blessings." Those born with Blessings are called "Blessed Ones," who are believed to have been chosen by God to do good on Earth. Some breathe life, others take life, some bend the rules of nature, and others are a force of nature. These Blessings are kept hidden from society to maintain social order and protect the safety of their owners. Then there is the phenomenon, the individual, known as "The Rot," an existence that stole the life from the Earth and its people merely by willing it. "She" was terminated by "Her" peers for the threat She posed to all life on Earth. She was no Blessed One- She is recorded by the International Outer Sciences Organization, a modern peacekeeping force of Blessed Ones, as an unholy, wretched abomination. Come the Fall of one year, The Rot suddenly returns to destroy everything. Blessed Ones begin to drop like flies. Ordinary peace decays with Her menacingly slow, inevitable approach.
