Set fifteen years after the main events of the Ingo chronicles concluded, Mordowrgi have grown up without a father.

The Crossing of Ingo grows near, but Mordowrgi is more concerned with questions of the world above. One day he meets an enchanting human boy, which ignites in Mordowrgi a burning curiosity for the Air and his human heritage. Mordowrgi must face his greatest fears and travel to the world above, all while discovering the truth of his Trewhella blood.
