Welcome to the future, where the line between reality and gaming has blurred. In this brave new world, Rosalind Grey is the queen of code, the architect of XP: Experiential Points, the first video game to take place in reality. But as launch day approaches, she is unceremoniously fired and her meticulously crafted game is let loose on an unsuspecting world. It's a worst-case scenario come to life, and only Rosalind and a crew of misfits can put the genie back in the bottle. They must navigate a world overtaken by the game, uncover the culprit behind the sabotage, and save humanity before the tropes and set-pieces usually found in JRPGs destroy them all.
