Ysa's childhood best friend, Pio, who she has known and trusted, helped her in letting go of her feelings toward her ex-suitor.

On the very day that she was going to accept the love of his former suitor, he witnessed his friend still torn with the anguish of being left hanging in the air without a good farewell and explanation. She was left in pain and trouble.
