celeste rosewood died. hades, fortunately, had felt merciful that night and taken her on as her own. when he decided he wanted an emissary in the mortal world, it was time for her to live again as the pureblooded witch she was supposed to have been. from the underworld to camp half-blood to hogwarts, her job was to make sure that not too many people were dying unnecessarily (so that the admin department in hell didn't have too much work to do).
