Introduction

He's the football co-captain. He's popular and well respected. He's best friends with everyone he knows and see's. He's funny and he's extroverted.

And then there's me.

I'm quiet and reserved. I'm slightly nerdy and almost always have my head stuck inside a book. I have a few friends, that being my best friend Haley and the other two being my couch and a pint of ice cream.

There is no way in hell our two different worlds would collide in any way shape or form.

And yet they did.

Twelve years ago. On a beach one summer. I ran into a random, tan little boy playing soccer along the shore front. I don't remember much about him... the only thing i remember is his eyes. Deep, ocean blue with specks of teal green in them.

They were much prettier than my boring, chocolate brown orbs. Mine were dull and almost lifeless, but his, no, his were full of life, and enticingly captivating, not just to me but to everyone around him.

I thought i'd never see that little boy with the charming smile and those beautiful ocean blue orbs ever again.

But little did i know, he's been right there in front of me the entire time.

And yet completely unattainable.

Popular, funny, smart, kind. He's everything I could ever want but I can't have him.

And he'd never want me anyway.
