Angela Kelly, the sister of Jack Kelly, has been running away from her problems her whole life. When she becomes the leader of the Bronx newsies, her life finally starts to settle down. But when an old friend asks her to join a strike, she has no choice but to help them out. Along the way, she meets an old love interest who happens to be the famous Spot Conlon. Will things work out for the Kellys, and how will things end up for Angela and Spot?
