You would think at the age of 16 Briar would spend most of her time with friends, doing homework, and quite frankly not having a care in the world.

But unfortunatly that is not Briars case. Briars life is far more complicated, with absent parents and a blank social life, Briar refuses to realise that the relationship with her parents is far from normal; that is until her biological mother makes contact and wishes to get together, although the warmth that radiates from Scarlett is nothing but a distant feeling for Briar.
