Prologue

After a humiliating breakup on the UK's hit reality dating show "The Love Equation", American Lucy Hill is heartbroken and now famous for her Naïveté. Even after returning home to Chicago, she can't escape the phones constantly pointed in her direction or the limitations she now faces at her job. Everyone treats her differently - that is until she meets Adam, an adjunct professor that up until recently has been teaching English Abroad. He has no idea who Lucy is, and she's looking to keep it that way.
