Prologue

Magnus knew his husband would leave him... permanently... at some point, but he never imagined it to happen so soon. Magnus's husband, Alexander Bane Lightwood, was killed suddenly as a result of a failed mission, and for the first time in his life, he had no idea how to deal with the grief and agony. He felt completely broken until the identical blue eyes appeared in front of him years later.
