Where desperation's waves crash upon every concrete wall confined
There fires storm through unsuspecting buildings as anger prevails.
Communicating a lifetime of sorrow spent within segregation's tomb.
Promised resolution offers no respite for how many times did not avail.
The law often goes to the highest bidder whose ideology grows in womb.
Of some deep shadowy cavern hidden within darkness now resigned
While the media sells advertising space within each flame of ill repute
The desperate young among us whose future holds no promise can refute.
How long before remedy promise is resurrected hopefully to soon convey.
That there is still hope for these many colors of despair now time does portray
