Azriel kills Beron during a High Lord's meeting, Eris becomes High Lord and Azriel is forced to remain in Autumn as per punishment for killing a High Lord. Autumn secrets are unlocked and Azriel tries to deny his growing attraction for Eris. Azriel struggles with his internalized homophobia and his belief of not being good enough for his family much less deserving of a mate. Together Eris and Azriel navigate the workings of Autumn and the threats hanging over the court all while trying to understand their feelings for one another.
