When tragedy strikes for 17 year old Eva Lockheart she has no choice but to become a slave for the kings son, Damen. Oblivious to the fact that Damen has fell in love with her, Eva thinks death is the way out of what she likes to refer to as "torture". But along the way, Eva meets a somewhat mysterious guy who has been locked in a dungeon for years just waiting for the one person who will free him, but with a catch.
