Chapter 1

"I could be wherever I desire, thank you very much." Arthur spat, stumbling into my room and collapsing onto the bed in a drunken heap. With his face pressed against the pillow, he continued. "I have traveled to places you only have the ability to imagine. I've never had to do so much as press my own shirts." He giggled a little bit, letting out a long sigh. "I don't deserve anything less than the best." He concluded. I looked around at the surroundings. The worn wooden floors, and the pitiful embers in the fireplace. I walked over to Arthur, carefully pulling the sheets out from underneath him to place them on top of him.
"And yet," I said quietly, "you're here."
