The angels walk among us. Years ago, the seven Archangels descended onto Earth for the exile of the Acolytes, Lucifer's demonic creatures he released on to humankind. Using their powers, they captured the Infernal and put them in a spiritual hold in Purgatory beneath the Earth. Michael and Gabrielle, two archangels, agreed to the release of their wings and to stay behind on Earth to ensure such hold. Their spiritual powers and souls were bound to two human bodies.
