1863 on the Richard plantation Simon owns 18 slaves on his small sized plantation. Wanting to grown his land and fortune he buys 3 new slaves to his plantation...but when one of his new slaves named Jane who was separated from her family forever, becomes a house maid and his live in nanny, this relationship becomes more than just slave and slave owner and changes their lives forever.
