Embarrassment heated my melanin skin and I was grateful for my dark hues that kept this secret. He had heard my little rant, not that I had said much. We stayed in our positions assessing one another, waiting to see who would make the first move. It was dark but I could tell he was good looking from his Asian features that the moonlight danced on; which only served to escalate his attractiveness. From his dark almond shaped eyes and inky gelled hair, to his attire which consisted of a crisp white linen shirt and black dress pants. He was probably also wearing formal expensive shoes. And his scent... almost had me in a daze. He smelled exquisite. He exhaled some smoke and then spoke. "What? Another interview go bad?" his dark eyes were now twinkling with mirth. My pain seemed to amuse him. "Fuck you, you wouldn't understand." I responded, momentarily forgetting about his handsomeness and feeling irritated by his callus attitude. Had he known that I had been moments from jumping, he would've been the last person to see me alive, would he still find amusement in my pain? I pondered darkly. "Huh..." he scoffed, pretending to be deep in thought. "Enlighten me then," he said after a moment of heavy silence had passed. The steel edge in his tone made the words come off as a command. Regardless, I found the words voluntarily spilling from my lips...
