The Boy

A street urchin steals a woman's bag, where he finds a book full of what he believes to be hocus-pocus nonsense. However, when he reads a random excerpt, he is transformed into a cat. Grateful to not have to live on the run from authorities all the time, the boy makes the most of his new life and survives better than he could have before. But actions have consequences, and the boy needs to find the woman and get her help in turning him back into a human before he loses his humanity.

This is a prequel to my book Feline Friend, though it doesn't really matter which book is read first. Also, it takes place in the 1950's, so prepare yourself for plenty of 50s slang. It's the bees' knees.
