Loona (stylized in all caps or as LOOΠΔ; Korean: 이달의 소녀; RR: Idarui Sonyeo; Japanese: 今月の少女, romanized: Kongetsu no Shōjo, lit. 'Girl of the Month') is a South Korean eleven-member girl group formed by Blockberry Creative. Originally a twelve-member group, they were introduced to the public through a pre-debut project that began in October 2016, where each of the members was revealed in a periodic fashion by releasing a promotional single over the following 18 months.[2] They debuted as a full ensemble with the extended play, [+ +] (2018), supported by the lead single "Favorite" and the title track "Hi High". On November 25, 2022, Chuu was removed from the lineup.[3][4] Now, 6 members Heejin, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, Choerry, Vivi, Hyunjin are free from their contracts with blockberry creative. People are boycotting Loona due to the company's mistreatment to the girls. The members left are Yves, Gowon, Yeojin, Olivia Hye, and Haseul. Nitizens are boycotting by avoiding listening to Loona on official platforms. That means they'll be listening to Soundcloud and Spotify podcasts.
