If summer were a drug, I would take it all year long... I would snort it like cocaine and I would most definitely be addicted... In an empathetic sense, of course. And in the sense that the rest of the year was my sickness... The summer would be my antidote. It would be the one thing that could always revive me. In the summer I could always find serenity and peace in the crashing of waves, and the sweet smell of salt water. It was as if pulling into my parents' summer home, approaching the wrap-around porch, where white linens would soon be hanging, hydrangeas blooming, brought a certain calm over my entire body. The idea of a glass of wine, a good book, linen pants, a bowl of popcorn, the ocean and me, was an idea that could solve every single problem I had presently. ________ Nora, a "twenty-something", fresh out of college, experiencing her first heart break and battles the unknowns of adulthood, finds herself seeking refuge at her parent's summer home, where she spent every summer as a kid. Unknowingly, Nora believes she is spending the summer by herself with a good book, some wine, and the coast. This isn't the case when her childhood crush appears and will be her company for the summer... Will Nora be able to get over her fiance? Or will she spend her entire summer in the dumps and drowning her sadness in wine? Will Nora face her long-lasting feelings for Arden or hide behind the walls she has built up?
