Meet Minnette Harley, a human with a tough past, and Maximus Kincaid, a werewolf warrior who is her mate. Their love story gets tricky when Minnette has to hide Maximus' werewolf side from her family, and he has to protect her from his dad who doesn't like humans as mates.

Things get a bit sad when Maximus is unsure about marking Minnette because he doesn't want her to be separated from her human family. The dream of having a child together makes things even more complicated, as Maximus is hesitant to complete the bonding process with Minnette.
