Lydia Kincaid has lived a tough life. At the young age of 14, she found herself pregnant and disowned by her family. She does everything and anything for her son Ezra. Which leads to her sending him away to Italy so he can pursue his dreams of becoming a Formula 1 driver. After 5 years being stuck in Texas while she gets her degree and her affairs in order she makes the move to Italy.

Six months into her time there she finds herself at a dive bar in Italy enjoying a night out after her first semester teaching at the local university. A chance encounter with none other than Charles Leclerc leads her down a road she never would have expected.
