This young dragon catches the eye of Queen Snowshoe of the Icewings, and demands that she be used as a weapon in their war against the NightWings, offering to pay with sapphires the size of dragon heads. Yet Gingko doesn't want to hurt anybody. She doesn't want to be a bloodthirsty murderer. She just wants to live a normal life. That all changes when she spots a handsome IceWing prince, and in desperation to be with him she agrees to go, ignoring her true nature.
