Uncle Iroh is one of the most complex characters in the Avatar: The Last Airbender universe. For as much as he was featured in the television show there is so little we know about his life. Who was his wife, how did a man who met the last dragons and protected their secrets later go on to wage a war on Ba Sing Se, and what did Iroh do when he left the city after the death of his son? This is a one shot fanfiction I wrote for a contest. Uncle Iroh is one of my all-time favorite characters and I hope you enjoy the story I've written. Poem inside is called Leaves From The Vine and not written by me. Only a portion of it is spoken on the television show so I had to look for a full version. There were several and I went for the one I felt best fit the story. If you see this story anywhere besides Wattpad please make me aware. This is the only place I post stories.
