Chapter One

Super celebrity, Harper Wills, is devastated when she loses her mother to suicide. Struggling to cope with her grief, she throws herself into her work and heads to a movie set in South Dakota, hoping the change of scenery will help her heal.

Soon Harper meets Ben Chase, a professor of Native American Studies, who is tasked with teaching the actors how to speak Comanche for their roles in the film. As they work together, Harper and Ben find they have much in common.

As Harper delves deeper into her role and prepares for her upcoming tour, she begins to find solace in the beauty of the South Dakota landscape and the wisdom of Ben's teachings. Together they explore the complexities of grief, love, and the power of connection.
